My Journey While Moving Ahead In My Career:

I have been in the profession of corporate communications and PR for over 18 years and have worked with some of the leading corporates in the country such as Reliance Infocomm, Motilal Oswal Sec, IDFC, Ambit Holdings and IL&FS Financial Services. In the last 19 years I have evolved from being a PR executive to a Corporate Communication Strategist specializing in both external and internal communications.

Overcoming Challenges:

Women often face challenges as they grow up the corporate ladder, I faced challenges too; that me being women is what makes men softer or appreciative of me at work. So no acknowledgment of my talent, but gender. When your colleagues start seeing the talent and capabilities, they stop looking at you as a woman and take you only as a colleague. Talent and hardwork is what it takes. Be persistent, be adamant and be confident.

What Advice Would You Give To Women: 

Hard work, talent and knowledge show. Be confident of your capabilities and be persistent and speak up if you feel the opportunities are not equal. We want equality and no special treatment.
