Your Current Role And The Challenges You Face In Your Day To Day Routine:

I am the Marketing Communications Manager with IHG, (InterContinental Hotels Group) - one of the biggest hospitality brands in the world and I lead the marketing initiatives for Crowne Plaza Jaipur. It is a senior role where I get to discuss and showcase my initiatives with senior leaders and area team. I am blessed that I have the opportunity of working for a top-notch hospitality brand which has ambitious growth plans for the future each of my initiatives count towards making this brand story come alive.

A challenge is that while Jaipur is incredibly driven by culture and thematic events, it is a very seasonal market which means marketing messages spend and efforts have to be constantly monitored and adjusted accordingly. Since there are hospitality majors in the city to compete with, hence there is a need to be constantly creating new content, especially digital.

Your Passion And Balancing It Between Your Work And Professional Life:

I am multi-passionate writing, speaking, dramatics, art, reading, dance, travel with a dash of food and fitness so in a nutshell I need to be creatively fulfilled and physically active. Planning and scheduling are my mainstays. I look at local workshops which I can indulge in on weekends. My passions are stress busters, hence I schedule 30 mindful minutes every 2-3 days for an activity I love. Be it art, reading or just completing a gym session. It's my Me-time!

Positive Impacts Created Within Your Lifestyle From Your Activities:

I am much happier and productive. My passions fuel my creativity and have made me mentally more agile and physically fitter. I have learnt to challenge myself and out-do my limits. This year I embarked on a solo trip to Singapore and it was sheer bliss. For tickets to the itinerary, I went about it on my own learning so much about myself, opening my mind to new possibilities and getting those confidence booster shots along the way.

Advice For Others:

You will only find time, when you look for it. Invest in your passion as it truly lights up your heart. Taking merely 30 minutes away from mindlessly surfing the internet will give you the time-block that you are looking for. As always said, if you want it, you will find a way. Else you will find an excuse. So, get off the excuse boat and get on the action treadmill!
