Current Role:
I am
currently working with school girls from a government-aided school and teach
them Hope. I also am a Coach, People and Culture Practice Advisor and an Entrepreneur.
Beginning
Of Career:
I
started my career in a Pharmaceutical company and I learned early in life that
we have to learn and we have to be unafraid. The IT industry was just about
beginning to take wings at that time and I had to learn to work with tech
professionals and also learn to work across boundaries and time zones. As a
woman this was particularly challenging.
I
have always believed, I am responsible for my career. I learned to negotiate
both at home and work. I also chose the path I wanted to pursue with confidence
and never ever hesitated to learn. I have also always relied on the advice of
my mentors. Learning to love challenges has been the best thing I have imbibed.
Overcoming
Challenges:
I
have always had challenges with health, if i have to think of the biggest
challenge. It has always been a challenge and I take both short term and long
term efforts to sustain my career for 25 years despite of health issues.
A Turning Point
In Your Life:
When
I had an accident and fractured my spine, it set me back. But I also decided
that I have to claw my way back and truly be a survivor.
Your Idol/Mentor:
Personally
my parents and professionally I have many mentors, and I greatly admire Mr. NRN
Murthy.
Your
Advice:
Fight
for your dreams. Work your way forward.
