My Journey While Moving Ahead In My Career:
An HR
Professional with 15 years of work experience, I've spent most my career with
Tata Sons Ltd. and HUL /Unilever, where I've contributed globally in areas across
Leadership Development, Employer Branding, Talent Acquisition and Management,
Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, HR Business Partnering and
Diversity & Inclusion. I am also a certified Coach and have been focusing
on:
1.
Career & Performance Coaching
2.
Transition Coaching
3.
Work-Life Integration Coaching
Within
D&I, I was part of the team to launch India's first Returnship Program -
Tata Second Career Internship Program (SCIP). In my last role at Unilever, I
lead the D&I agenda across South Asia(including our Pakistan, Sri Lanka,
Bangladesh & India businesses), and D&I remains a space I'm extremely
passionate about. I was responsible for positioning HUL and Unilever South Asia
(SA) as a dream employer for diverse talent, especially female talent, driving
attraction, retention & development, establishing credentials for
inclusivity and putting in place long term enablers for building an inclusive
culture. Our efforts also extended to the LGBT community, Gen Y, people with
special needs - including work flexibility, mental & physical health care
support.
During
my 15 year career, D&I has become a recurring theme. I've spent most of my
time doing Leadership Development and Career Planning roles but D&I
initially found its way into my job description a decade ago. From launching
India's first Returnship program with the Tata Group, to leading D&I for
Unilever South Asia Businesses, to starting the Winning Balance initiative
aimed at helping women on a career break rejoin the work force, to finally the
consulting work in D&I I currently do for various clients. I think if
you've been blessed enough to identify what you love doing, it stops feeling
like work.
