My Journey While Moving Ahead In My Career:

To start with, My initial experiences gave me lot of confidence and motivation to see my byline getting published at the place of my work. This gave me a celebrity status in my college. That was really an enriching experience for me.

Challenges Faced:

A woman, especially as a parent faces lot of biases at a personal and professional level. Way back in 2011, there were not enough government policies for extended paid maternity leaves, it was tops 24 weeks including the unpaid extended stay with your baby. There is a bigger challenge which a woman combats within and that of guilt. The easiest thing I could give up was my huge pay check but it was imperative for me to work and yet let my daughter be a priority. I overcame the challenge that I delivered more than 100% to my work while letting my daughter have me 24*7. Also my husband has been extremely supportive in fulfilling his duties as a co-parent. As they say it takes a village to raise a child and nurture a family, my organisation Galvanise PR which is integral to this adage.

Words Of Wisdom To Restart Your Career:

Learn to put your foot down sometimes courteously sometime aggressively, but always speak your mind, irrespective of the situation.
